Course Overview

The Music Production & Sound Engineering Award provides a fundamental understanding of how to use a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and the technical aspects of music and sound creation. Students will learn essential skills from arranging tracks to creating melodies, programming drums, and mixing their project.

  • Depending on the programme, certain hardware and software are essential. pointblank students qualify for discounts from Apple Education, Ableton, Native Instruments, Serato, Pioneer DJ, and other leading industry partners.
• What is my weekly study schedule?
  • Each module requires attendance at one class (3 or 4 hours long) and two 30-minute tutorials with your lecturer per module per term. You are expected to schedule sufficient independent study and practice time each week. The school facilities are open 7 days a week during term time.
