Program Overview

This hands-on program covers the basics of Ableton Live, including Drum Rack, Wavetable Synth, Simpler, and Sampler. Students will learn technical production skills, such as recording and editing MIDI and audio, pre-production considerations, drum programming, mixing, audio effects processing, automation, and arrangement techniques.

• Music Production: Ableton Live: This course develops students' fundamental understanding of contemporary music production. It covers the production process, Ableton Live overview, rhythm, melody, and harmony production, drum programming, pre-production and file management techniques, MIDI and audio processing techniques, warping, introduction to synthesis and sampling, track arrangement and automation, mixing and exporting, and MIDI controllers and MIDI mapping.
