Program Overview
In Musicianship for Producers - Level 2, you'll go deeper in our immersive program designed to take your musical prowess to new heights. Refine your ear with progressive aural training and hone your sight-reading, notation, and transcription skills to capture every nuance of the music. Delve into advanced topics including chord extensions, voice leading, and exotic scales and modes guided by seasoned experts dedicated to unlocking your full potential. Deepen your harmonic fluency and expand your creative palette. Whether you're a budding producer or seasoned musician, this course will empower you to manifest your unique musical ideas with confidence and precision.

- Are there any admission requirements?: Admission into any college-level program at pointblank requires that the prospective student: Be 18 years of age or older (under age 18 may be accepted only with signed parental consent), Possess a high school diploma or the equivalent, Be provided a current pointblank Music School Catalog, Sign a School Performance Fact Sheet and an Enrollment Agreement for their program.
- What equipment do I need to buy?: None at all! Every pointblank student has access to their own fully-equipped workstation in class and during their practical studio work outside of class time. If you decide to purchase equipment for your own home studio, we will be happy to help you arrange student discounts from our leading industry partners including Apple, Ableton, Pioneer, Native Instruments, Serato, Izotope, Waves, and more.
- When are the classes scheduled?: For each 10-week course in musicianship, piano, guitar, or bass, classes normally meet once per week for 2 hours on a weekday in one of the following timeslots: 10:00am – 12:00pm (Morning Session), 12:00pm – 2:00pm (Noon Session), 2:30pm – 4:30pm (Afternoon Session). Class schedules are confirmed and released two weeks prior to the start of each quarter. Please call for the most up-to-date information on scheduling and class availability. Our facilities are also open for student use from six to seven days a week, giving you valuable time in the studio to practice your musicianship or instrumental exercises and reinforce your new skills outside of class sessions.

- I work full time. Can I enroll?: Yes. Classes are usually available in the evening and on weekends, and we will be happy to arrange a class schedule that works around your other professional commitments. Please check with an Admissions Advisor to see what scheduling options are available by calling or by completing the Contact Us form.
- I'm an international student. Can I enroll?: International students have different options for attending pointblank classes depending on their country of origin. These include the B2 visitor visa, the ESTA visa waiver program, and more. We do not offer F or M student visas at this time.
