Program Overview

1 Week DJ/Producer - Level 1

Course Overview

This course comes with a free media pack including 10 professional press shots and 2 Instagram reels to help market and boost your social presence.

Supported by Pioneer DJ, this week-long course is designed to give beginners a fantastic start in the world of production and DJing using Pioneer DJ's industry-leading equipment and Ableton Live. You'll learn fundamental production techniques including how to make beats using drums, bass lines and chords, how to record your own audio into Ableton Live and edit it using effects such as compression and reverb, and how to mix your tracks among many other industry tips and tricks. You'll also cover the skills it requires to become a solid DJ such as tempo and cueing, beatmatching, EQing and effects, creative mixing, looping and how to prepare a set.

The course is taught in English by professional DJ/Producers who have performed at some of the biggest clubs and festivals in the world. There is also potential for you to perform at a variety of parties and venues, including Cafe Mambo, Destino Pacha, Ibiza Rocks and the rooftop of the Hard Rock Hotel! You’ll have access to great value accommodation through our partner hotels, and exclusive discounts to some of the island’s best clubs.

Career Opportunities

There are many different possible routes to becoming a DJ, and what works for some may not be the best way for others. Patience, hard work, and an element of luck can all be deciding factors in success! They then progress to playing paid gigs and effectively learn on the job. This can work well for some, but it can often mean people develop bad habits or have severe gaps in their knowledge, as they have not been guided by someone with experience and they’ve had to work things out the hard way.
