This Master’s degree is designed for experienced teachers with practical experience and a desire to further their education career into a senior management role. The program includes one compulsory theology course and an elective to be chosen from Religious Education, Leadership and Management, Early Childhood Education, Special Learning Needs, and Curriculum. Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor or postgraduate degree in teaching/education or a cognate discipline
- At least two years of full-time professional experience in either a primary or secondary school setting
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Master of Education (Leadership and Management), graduates will be able to:
- Critically apply and reflect on advanced knowledge of specialized educational theory and practices that includes the understanding of recent developments in educational leadership and management
- Demonstrate highly developed cognitive, technical, and creative skills with initiative, a high level of personal autonomy and accountability to generate understanding of complex educational issues in educational leadership and management
- Evaluate and apply knowledge of research principles and methods to educational leadership and management within school contexts
- Demonstrate highly developed communication and technical skills to implement, justify and interpret leadership and management models and practices, decision-making, industrial relations, the law, organisational culture, reflective practice, and responses to critical issues within educational contexts; and
- Plan, execute and reflect critically on a substantial research-based project and/or piece of scholarship on critical issues in educational management practices within school settings

Scholarships
