The G3 initiative is designed to change lives! With G3, PVCC offers a variety of programs that “stack” to in-demand degrees and prepare students for high-demand jobs. Through the program, eligible students pursuing jobs in high-demand fields can have tuition, fees, and books fully covered.
Who is Eligible
- Any Virginia resident who:
- Qualifies for in-state tuition
- Has a total household income of less than or equal to 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (rough income of $100,000 for family of four/$50,000 for an individual)
- Is enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours or in an eligible workforce training program
- Is enrolled in a designated G3 program
- Has applied for federal and/or state financial aid programs
Programs
PVCC offers a variety of in-demand program certificates, degrees, and workforce training to prepare students for jobs in high-demand fields. G3 students can select from a list of approved programs in the following areas:

Most programs have three levels that build on each other. After each level, you earn a certification that can lead to a job. This means you can take breaks between training without losing progress along the way to an associate degree.
