DHSc Program Details
Program Length & Format
The DHSc degree is a 48-credit-hour, online doctoral degree program. In addition to online collaborative work, students have an opportunity to collaborate with members of their cohort during two required on-campus sessions, which occur in August before the start of the first and second years.
DHSc Curriculum
The DHSc curriculum is designed for students to complete the course requirements in five semesters and then work collaboratively with a committee to complete a dissertation, which generally takes one to two additional years. Examples of dissertation titles/abstracts from recent DHSc graduates illustrate the diversity of our student body. Students have up to seven years to complete all DHSc requirements.
The Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) degree is completed in 48 credit hours, including:
- 9 credits of leadership courses
- 9 credits of education courses
- 21 credits of research courses (including dissertation credits)
