Description
This course is intended to build on the basic skills of a probation officer covered in Fundamentals. In this part of the training, the learner will be introduced to relationship violence (K-file) and sexual offences (SO). The learner will use the supervision framework introduced in Fundamentals, and will incorporate additional necessary steps for supervision of these types of files. The learner will also be introduced to effective case management for women in the criminal justice system, community risk-needs assessment tool (CRNA), spousal assault risk assessment (SARA), community work service, alternative measures, and electronic supervision.
