Applied Research in Public Safety and Law Enforcement

Course Details

In this course learners will be introduced to a range of viewpoints regarding the purposes of research, various models used for research such as historical research, empirical research, action research and community-based research and will develop an understanding of a range of research methodologies, related data gathering techniques and reporting options. Examples, case studies, projects and assignments will focus primarily on public safety and law enforcement fields. (Formerly BLES410)
