Course Details
Examine the moral and ethical issues that can arise in public safety and develop strategies to monitor ethical behaviour. Explore within an ethical framework the inter-relationships of personal values, individual responsibility, decision making, discretion, and accountability, particularly within a public safety context. Specific topics to be covered include core values, codes of conduct, ethical dilemmas, liability, and the importance of critical thinking and decision making through the analysis of case studies that explore personal, professional and societal values.
