IIO Force Option: Intermediate Tools And Firearms Safety
Course Details
A firearm is an important tool in police work. It is intended to protect the officer and the public, and therefore it carries significant responsibility. There is almost no margin for error when a firearm is used. This course will introduce participants to general types of firearms, types of ammunition, ballistics, general safety, storage and transportation. Emphasis will be on the majority of firearms used with BC Law Enforcement General Duty Divisions and Emergency Response Teams and give investigators a clearer sense of the types of weapons in use.
