Introduction to Investigation Skills & Procedures
Course Details
This course provides learners with the opportunity to apply theory to the practice of criminal and non-criminal investigations. Learners will work through scenarios to determine what type of an incident they are dealing with and whether or not a criminal offence has been committed. They will develop and implement an investigation plan. Topics covered will include incident scene priorities, identification, gathering, preservation and analysis of evidence, locating and interviewing witnesses, and root cause analysis.
