Course Description
Learners will build on the human resource management fundamentals acquired in Public Safety Supervision and begin focusing on the management responsibilities required to develop and support an equitable and diverse organization through the creation of a sound organizational human resources plan. Learners will gain the knowledge and skills to manage the recruiting, selection and hiring processes. They will learn to critically assess departmental policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Learners will explore policies and procedures in the areas of career advancement and promotion, professional development, labour relations, risk management, health and safety, and employee assistance.
