Psychosocial Resilience in Disasters
Course Details
This course provides an overview of the psychosocial needs of emergency management personnel and communities before, during, and after disasters, as well as strategies and resources to support psychosocial resilience (e.g., self-care, worker care). This course also discusses stress responses, vulnerable populations, resiliency toolkits, and risk and resiliency factors.
Course Format
- Online: This online course is self-paced. All course assessments and assignments must be completed/submitted by the end date of the course.
- In-Class: This course is conducted over one day in a classroom setting. In addition to the scheduled public offerings, this course is available to organizations on a contract basis.
