Program Overview


Course Overview

The Foundation Year Programme offers a route to undergraduate study, giving students the skills, confidence, and resilience required to succeed in Higher Education. After successful completion of this year, students will be eligible to progress onto the first year of BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering.


Entry Requirements

  • Students require six GCSEs at grade C / 4 or above (including Maths, English Language, and a science subject), or five GCSEs at grade C / 4 or above (including Maths, English Language, and a science subject) if they also have level 3 qualification(s).
  • Students must be at least 17½ years of age at the time of registration.
  • Suitable applicants will be invited to participate in an interview where they will be able to discuss their course choice in more detail. Interviews will take place online with the course manager.
