Tuft Your Own Rug

Overview

This one-day short course teaches participants how to use an electric tufting gun and create their own custom rug. The course is led by an experienced Locksbrook Campus textile technician, Zoe Broome.

Location and Dates

The course takes place at Locksbrook Campus, Bath, BA1 3EL, on Thursday, June 19, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Cost and Materials

The course costs £195 per person, which includes all the necessary materials, such as 100% wool yarn.

What to Bring

Participants need to submit their custom design to be stencilled onto their fabric before the course starts. A guide on how to set up the design, including digital swatches of the colored wools available, will be provided.

Meet the Team

Zoe Broome is a mixed media artist working across print, textiles, and drawing. She is a Technical Demonstrator in Mixed Media Textiles at BSU, specializing in tufting, embroidery, and construction.
