Linocut Printmaking

Overview

This one-day Linocut Printmaking course teaches students how to cut and print their own lino-block, using specialist papers, excellent facilities, and extensive equipment available at Locksbrook Campus.

Location and Dates

• Location: Locksbrook Campus, Bath, BA1 3EL
• Dates: The next course takes place Tuesday 17 June, 9:30am – 4:30pm
• Bookings for this course will close on the 9 June

Cost and Materials

• Cost: £95 per person
• Materials: All materials will be provided, please wear old clothes as we use oil-based inks

Course Description

In this course, students will learn how to:

• Transform their ideas into lino-block designs, and how to cut these safely
• Discover different methods of printing, including using traditional tools and vintage presses, as well as printing by hand
• Produce A5 linocut prints using their own ideas, drawings, and photos

Meet the Team

• Jane Randfield, Technical Demonstrator: Etching and Lithography at Bath Spa University, will guide students throughout the day, supporting them to develop their ideas into print using this traditional process
