Lifestyle Medicine for Cancer Prevention and Survivorship
This self-paced, 8-week online course will require around 15 hours of learning. It comprises a combination of written notes, recorded webinars, other video content, multiple choice questions, and a short written assignment. In addition, there are a number of additional resources that can be downloaded and saved for further learning.

- The course aims to provide individuals and practitioners the confidence to disseminate this information amongst their patients, families, and their communities.
- This course has been accredited for 15 CPD hours by the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine (BSLM) and can count towards Maintenance of Certification for the diploma in lifestyle medicine by the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine.

- Understand the role of diet and lifestyle factors for cancer prevention, including the international guidelines on cancer prevention.
- Discuss the evidence for lifestyle interventions during cancer treatment.
- Understand the role of diet and lifestyle factors for improving cancer outcomes and quality of life after a cancer diagnosis.
- Discuss the role of the microbiome in cancer development and its impact on cancer treatments.
- Gain an overview of integrative oncology practices in order to better support patients to make informed choices.
- Understand how to apply lifestyle medicine principles within clinical practice for cancer prevention and for people living with a cancer diagnosis.

- Module 6: Sleep and cancer, social connections and cancer.
- Module 7: Impact of lifestyle factors on survivorship and preventing comorbidities in people living with cancer.
- Module 8: The role of integrative oncology in cancer, the lifestyle medicine prescription; putting knowledge into practice, written assignment of 500-700 words, and an optional live Q&A session on Teams.
