The LLM in Law (Conversion) at Winchester is designed to cover the foundations of legal knowledge subjects, allowing non-law graduates to progress onto the next stage of training to become a Solicitor or Barrister in England or Wales.

Suitable for Applicants from:

  • Non-Law graduates with a recognised first or second-class degree (or international equivalent) in any subject.
  • If English is not your first language, you will be required to obtain IELTS 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in writing or equivalent.

Entry Requirements

  • Non-Law graduates with a recognised first or second-class degree in any subject.
  • Applicants with relevant alternative undergraduate applications or professional experience may be admitted subject to the programme leader’s discretion.
  • If an applicant has a non-UK degree and intends to qualify as a barrister, they should also gain a certificate of academic standing from the Bar Standards Board prior to enrolling on the LLM (Conversion).
