Program Overview

Architecture and Environmental Design with Foundation BSc Honours

Overview

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in architecture and environmental design, preparing them for a career in these fields. The course focuses on the principles of environmental and architectural design, and students will learn about architectural design and environmental principles, as well as the evidence-informed approach and the quantification skills which will enable them to evaluate design proposals.

Course Structure

The course is divided into four years, with the first year focusing on the principles of environmental and architectural design, the second year consolidating and applying these principles to a wider context, and the third year focusing on the design of an architectural proposition and the making and testing of prototype/component. The fourth year is an optional placement year, which provides students with the opportunity to gain work experience and increase their chances of employability after graduation.
