Overview

The Digital Marketing Management MSc is a postgraduate course that prepares students to specialize in planning and applying digital marketing strategies and solutions. The course is designed to prepare students to create and execute digital marketing strategy. It includes a digital bootcamp, which kickstarts the course in induction week, helping students get to know their fellow students and understand the role digital plays in contemporary marketing.

  • Digital Customer Experience: This module refocuses marketers' attention to the digital customer experience, emphasizing the role of digital components in transforming the customer experience. (20 credits)
  • Consumer Psychology and Research: This module draws on psychology, sociology, and economics, exploring the theoretical underpinnings of consumer behavior and applying these learnings to marketing communications decision-making. (20 credits)
  • Digital Marketing and Innovation: This module introduces the contemporary digital marketing environment, considering strategic, tactical, and ethical perspectives and applying these to a range of contexts. (20 credits)
  • Multi-Platform Marketing Communications: This module explores marketing communications characterized by increased use of multiple media platforms, including digital and non-digital channels. (20 credits)
  • Digital Marketing Strategy: This module investigates the strategic approach of digital marketing within the business environment, examining how digital marketing analysis, strategies, and plans can be developed and implemented. (20 credits)
  • Web Design and Analytics: This module prepares students for designing user-centered websites and understanding audience behavior and engagement through web analytics. (20 credits)
  • Social Media and Content Marketing: This module focuses on the creation of optimized content for social media and content marketing, including engaging audiences and incentivizing conversion. (20 credits)
  • Final Major Project: This module is the culmination of the Master's program, allowing students to complete a dissertation or negotiate a project addressing a defined business problem. (40 credits)

Professional Accreditation

The Digital Marketing Management MSc is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) with a Graduate Gateway program status. After graduating, students will be exempt from the Level 4 "Applied Marketing and Planning Campaign" module towards the CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing / Professional Digital Marketing qualification, and from the Level 6 "Marketing & Digital Strategy" module towards the CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing qualification.


Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of a lower second-class honors degree (2:2) in a relevant discipline.
  • If the first language is not English, students should have an IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component.
  • Alternative professional qualifications with at least three years' relevant professional experience will also be considered.
