Immersive Media Design MA

Overview

The MA Immersive Media Design aims to empower creatives from diverse fields with the skills and knowledge needed to create captivating immersive experiences across dynamic fields and beyond. This course blends artistic practices with technical expertise, supporting students to develop original immersive media projects that explore new possibilities in narrative and interactive design.


Course Structure

The course consists of the following modules:


  • Designing for Extended Reality
  • Virtual Worldbuilding
  • Interactive and Immersive Storytelling
  • Immersive Design Futures
  • Capstone Project (Immersive Media Design)
  • Option modules:
    • Interactive and Immersive Media Production Skills
    • Hack Lab and Creative Technology
    • Start-up Incubator and Digital Entrepreneurship

Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of a lower second class honours degree (2:2) in a related creative subject
  • Applicants may be interviewed, set an assignment, or asked to submit a portfolio
  • If the first language is not English, IELTS 6.5 overall, with at least 5.5 in each element
