Overview
The Graphic Design BA Honours course at the University of Westminster is a three-year undergraduate program that prepares students for a successful career in graphic design. The course is designed to provide students with a broad range of creative, technical, and professional skills, and to help them develop their individual style and ideas.
Course Structure
The course is structured around a mix of core and collaborative modules, which are complemented by optional modules that allow students to experiment and identify their direction. The course is divided into three years, each with a different focus:

- T levels: 96 UCAS Tariff points
- International Baccalaureate: 96 UCAS Tariff points from all components of the Diploma Programme
- BTEC Extended Diploma: MMM
- BTEC Diploma: DD
- Access: 96 UCAS Tariff points from the Access course
- GCSE English Language: grade 4/C – IB grade 4 Higher level
- GCSE Maths: Pass – IB Pass
- IELTS: 6.0 overall, with at least 5.5 in each component (if first language is not English)
Fees and Funding
The course has the following fees and funding options:
- UK tuition fee: £9,535 (Price per academic year)
- International tuition fee: £17,000 (Price per academic year)
- EU Qualifications Welcome Award Scheme: a tuition fee reduction for international students accepted on an undergraduate programme starting in September 2024 or September 2025
- Scholarships: the University offers a variety of scholarships to eligible undergraduate students, which cover all or part of their tuition fees
Facilities and Resources
The course has access to dedicated studio space, which includes both collaborative and individual workspace. The studios are equipped with computers, photocopiers, printers, and scanners for IT and digital production. The University also has a range of facilities, including screen printing, relief printing, photography, animation, painting, drawing, 3D fabrication, and digital printing, laser cutting.
Teaching and Assessment
The course uses a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, workshops, problem-based and blended learning, and practical application. Assessment methods include practical assessments, written exams, and coursework.
