Program Overview
International Development Management MSc
Overview
The International Development Management MSc is designed to prepare students for a career in development management with an international organization, a non-governmental body, or a government development agency. The course combines theory and practice, providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, implement, and deliver self-sustaining and collaborative development interventions at an international level.
Course Structure
The course consists of eight core modules and one option module. The core modules cover a range of topics, including:
- Current Issues in International Development
- Development Economics and Policy
- International Development Finance
- International Development Management Project
- Managing Data
- Managing Development Interventions
- Research Methods
- Sustainable Energy Policy
Students can choose one option module from the University's postgraduate program, subject to approval by the Course Leader.
Entry Requirements
- A minimum of a lower second-class honors degree (2:2) in a relevant discipline
- Relevant degree disciplines include business studies, economics, geography, management, and operations research
- Alternative professional qualifications with at least three years of relevant professional experience will also be considered
- If the first language is not English, an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each component is required
Tuition Fees
- UK tuition fee: £11,700 (price per academic year)
- International tuition fee: £13,500 (price per academic year)
