Business and Organisational Psychology MSc
Overview
The Business and Organisational Psychology MSc course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply business psychology principles in real-world organisational settings. The course is accredited by the Association for Business Psychology and is suitable for students without a BPS-accredited undergraduate degree who wish to develop a career in personnel, human resource management, or as a business consultant.
Course Structure
The course is taught using a problem-based approach, with a focus on work-based activities, live briefs from industry partners, and intensive workshops. Students will have the opportunity to gain valuable business awareness whilst combining practical work experience and theoretical study by taking part in an optional 6-12 week work internship.

Course Accreditation
The course is accredited by the Association for Business Psychology. The Psychology of Coaching and Mentoring for Professional Development module is also an approved course with the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Entry Requirements
- A minimum of a lower second class honours degree (2:2) in a relevant degree discipline, such as Psychology, Business, Social Science, or Science.
- Graduate-level work experience in all areas will be considered.
- Applicants who do not meet one or both of the two criteria above, but have relevant experience, will also be considered for entry on an individual basis.
- If English is not the first language, an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each component is required.

Careers
Successful completion of this course will enable students to specialise in the areas of business and organisational psychology, human resources, management, and leadership roles in both private and public sector organisations, training and development, or consultancy.
Teaching and Assessment
- Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, workshops, problem-based and blended learning, and practical application.
- Assessment methods include practical assessments, coursework, and a dissertation.
Location
The course is taught at the Marylebone Campus, which is home to the Westminster Business School and is located in the heart of London.
