Program Overview

PG Dip Human Resource Management

Introduction

Progress your HR career while continuing to work. Our Postgraduate Diploma is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and held by HR professionals around the world.

Already have an ARU degree? You may be eligible for our Alumni Scholarship for students starting postgraduate courses.

If you’re aspiring to be an effective HR practitioner – whether you're working as a manager or consultant in a generalist or specialist role – this is the must-have qualification.

Study for a Postgraduate Diploma and develop your understanding of organisations and the changing environment in which HR teams operate. Using critical analysis, self-reflection and problem-solving techniques, you’ll learn how to develop and implement creative, strategic plans that drive organisational performance.

As a student with ARU, you’ll come to Cambridge or Chelmsford once a week and use our online learning environment at other times.

Our students register as associate members of CIPD, and enjoy exclusive access to journals, reports, time-saving resources, library services, as well as professional development guidance and networking opportunities. Once you’re in work, you’ll be able to upgrade to full membership. The cost of your membership and course accreditation with the CIPD is not included in the course fees. Whilst the degree is accredited, those seeking this credit for their degree should apply directly to join the CIPD and pay the appropriate joining and membership fee.

Here at Faculty of Business and Law, we have over 25 years’ experience of delivering CIPD qualifications and a high achievement rate: 100% of our MA Human Resource Management graduates are in work or further study six months after graduating (DLHE, 2014). So by studying with us, we think you have the best chance of success.

Having achieved a Postgraduate Diploma, you can top-up your award to an MA Human Resource Management by undertaking two additional modules, alongside a dissertation (Major Project).

Careers

Our Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management has a strong focus on the skills and knowledge you need for a successful career in HR. It’s essential if you’re preparing for, or aspiring to, managerial roles either in UK or abroad.

Your qualification is recognised by CIPD, the UK's most credible specialist human resources training and awarding body, as an advanced qualification (entry on this course does not confer membership – you will need to apply directly to CIPD for that).

Graduation doesn’t have to be the end of your time with us. You could choose to complete a full Masters degree or consider a PhD programme at ARU. Take advantage of our Alumni Scholarship and save £400 on your fees.
