BSc (Hons) Psychology with Criminology
This course combines both Psychology and Criminology, allowing students to gain a deep understanding of how the core and specialized areas in Psychology and Criminology contribute to our understanding of contemporary issues.

Course Structure
- First Year: Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Individual Differences and Personality, Key Debates in Criminological Theory, Introduction to Research Methods and Statistics, The Criminal Justice System, and optional modules such as Positive Psychology and Counselling, Parapsychology, and Introduction to Psychopathology.
- Second Year: Qualitative Research Methods and Analyses, Neuropsychology, Quantitative Research Methods and Statistics, and optional modules such as Substance Use, Crime and Deviance, Making Sense of Homicide, and Work and Organisational Psychology.
- Final Year: Integrative Psychology Project, Applied Social Psychology, Lifespan Psychology, and optional modules such as Local to Global Organised Crime, Hate Crime, and Emotions in Crime and Criminal Justice.
Entry Requirements
- Standard offer: 112 UCAS Tariff points.
- Accelerate offer: 80 UCAS Tariff points.
- GCSE and other level 2 requirements: GCSE Maths at grade C/4 or above.
- A Level, BTEC and other level 3 requirements: A Level: 112 UCAS Tariff points / BBC (or equivalent), BTEC: 112 UCAS Tariff points, and other level 3 qualifications.
Fees and How to Apply
- UK students: £9,535 in 2025/26, apply via UCAS.
- International students: £17,690 in 2025/26, apply online.
- Included in your course fees: access to computer equipment, printing, field trips, access to Microsoft Office 365, key software, and key subscriptions.
- Not included in your course fees: excess printing, personal stationery and study materials, placement expenses, field trips, books, memberships, and accommodation and living costs.

- Placements: each of our full-time undergraduate degree courses are available as a sandwich course, and we encourage every student to take their third year as a placement year.
