Year Two

In the second year of the course, students will focus on real-world challenge-based learning, through live briefs that are locally, nationally, and globally located. The course will cover topics such as:


  • Live Project: Local: This module provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills to an external, professional brief.
  • Live Project: National: This module explores real-world challenge-based learning, through a nationally located live brief.
  • Live Project: Global: This module focuses on real-world challenge-based learning, through a globally located live brief.
  • Collaborative Practice: This module is an opportunity to learn and critically reflect on the skills of collaboration.
  • Work Placement: The purpose of this module is to enable students to develop professional attributes and subject skills through experience in the work place.

Year Three

In the final year of the course, students will undertake a sustained, in-depth, and theoretically informed research project exploring an area of personal interest. The course will cover topics such as:


  • Major Project: Research Lab: The purpose of this module is to enable students to undertake a sustained, in-depth, and theoretically informed research project.
  • Futures Lab: This module investigates the wider creative industries, locally, nationally, and globally, to better understand what the student's potential future pathway might look like.
  • Creation Lab: Creative Technologies: This module is tailored to the student's individual strengths, research areas, and career aspirations.

Employability

The course seeks to respond to the rapidly evolving creative industries, to enable students to be ready for immediate employment, but also for future evolutions within the industries. The course will provide students with long-term skills and employability, and will enable them to be imaginative, confident, and convincing in taking up and even designing and shaping their future role as a creative leader and practitioner of change.

Entry Requirements

The standard offer for the course is 112 UCAS Tariff points. The course also accepts a range of other qualifications, including A Levels, BTEC, and International Baccalaureate. Students who do not have traditional qualifications may also be considered for entry, based on their prior experience and learning.
