Course description
This advanced session aims to build upon existing knowledge of ultrasound practitioners within obstetrics with a view to improve awareness of obstetric Doppler techniques including umbilical artery, uterine artery and middle cerebral artery Dopplers. The session will be delivered by a number of expert professionals and academics within the field of obstetrics, with an opportunity to practice the taught techniques from the day with normal pregnant volunteers. The session will include an advanced ultrasound physics masterclass, exploring the in-depth components of Doppler imaging in obstetrics, and a blend of theory, practical and reporting considerations.
Structure, certificates and assessment
On completion of the study day students will receive a certificate of attendance.
Entry requirements
All attendees must be experienced ultrasound users or relevant point of care specialists, eg sonographer, obstetrician, ultrasound practitioner. This is intended to be an advanced session and, as such, would not be suitable for students/trainees.
