This Master’s course provides advanced study for those who hold a current registration as a nurse, either in the UK or an international healthcare setting. UK applicants
- Standard requirements: A minimum 2:1 undergraduate Bachelor’s (honours) degree
- Programme-Specific Requirements: Any Bachelor's degree subject is acceptable
- You will need a current valid registration as a nurse, with two years post-registration experience being desirable. If you do not have two years of clinical experience, you will need to demonstrate very strong academic performance in your previous studies.
International applicants

Teaching methods - what to expect

- The course will be delivered in a blended mode, with a combination of face-to-face teaching at the HKU SPACE in Hong Kong, supplemented by additional online teaching and e-learning activities. Applicants based in Hong Kong will study alongside UK and other international nurses enrolled on the onshore course at London through the sessions delivered online.
Assessment
- Each module will normally be assessed through a combination of exams and coursework assignments
- Forms of assessment may typically include written assignments such as essays and case studies, and examinations such as multiple-choice or essay questions
- You will also complete the Enhancing Clinical Practice Dissertation module, which is assessed by a dissertation project
