Graduate Certificate: Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering
Overview
The graduate certificate in biomaterials engineering gives engineering students the opportunity to gain knowledge in this growing area within Biomedical Engineering.
Curriculum
The 12-credit-hour certificate consists of two required courses:
- Polymer Processing and Technology
- Tissue Engineering
In addition to the required courses, students select two electives from an approved list that includes:
- Biomolecular and Cellular Engineering
- Mechanobiology of Cells and Tissue
- Biodegradable Materials
- Polymeric Composite Materials
- Advanced Biomaterials
- Experimental Molecular Biology
- Independent Study and Research
Admission to the Program
