Program Overview


Graduate Certificate in Computing Systems

Overview

Wichita State's graduate certificate in computing systems is designed for students who hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) in engineering. The program is also available to students with other degrees who have experience in computing systems.


Curriculum

To complete the certificate, you'll take required courses in parallel computing and computer systems in data analytics. You'll then choose courses from topics like:


  • High performance computer systems
  • Hardware-based cybersecurity
  • Machine learning essentials and applications
  • Optimization techniques for cyber-physical systems
  • Data-driven decisions in cyber-physical systems

Depending on your academic background, some of the certificate courses may require additional prerequisites.


Admission to the Program

There are two paths to admission to the program:


  • For those already enrolled in graduate school, simply complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
  • Prospective students should apply using the Graduate School application for admission.
