Overview

Wichita State's graduate certificate in law enforcement and local government administration is designed for law enforcement personnel who want to take on leadership roles at the department level and beyond. This certificate complements skills learned in the Master of Public Administration degree program.

Curriculum

To complete the certificate, you'll take the following courses:

• Police Administration
• Correctional Administration
• State and Local Government Budgeting
• State and Local Government Administration

Admission to the Program

There are two paths to admission to the program:

• For those already enrolled in graduate school, simply complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
• Prospective students should apply using the Graduate School application for admission.

This graduate certificate is offered by the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Public Administration department. It is designed to provide law enforcement personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge to take on leadership roles in their field.
