Law LLM
Overview
The LLM Law programme is designed to equip students with the necessary expertise to succeed in the dynamic environment of international law. The programme covers public and private international law matters with expert teaching focusing on Human Rights and Business and Commercial Law.
Course Structure
- Year 1
- Developing and Managing Research (20 Credits) Core: This module provides students with the knowledge required to design and manage an independent research topic.
- Dissertation or Major Law project (60 Credits) Core: This module is an independent study module where students produce a research proposal and a dissertation or portfolio of professional relevant work.
- Legal Theory and the Common Law (20 Credits) Core: This module provides a consideration of Common Law from a domestic and international perspective.
- International Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution (40 Credits) Core: This module provides a thorough understanding of dispute resolution mechanisms and commercial law principles.
- Human Rights Law (40 Credits) Core: This module focuses on Human Rights Law from a UK domestic and international perspective.
