- Foundations of Mathematics (20 Credits) Core
- Introduction to the foundational language and notation used throughout mathematics
- Topics include mathematical logic, set theory, proofs, number systems, functions, elementary number theory, symmetry groups, etc.
- Differential Equations with their Applications (20 Credits) Core
- Introduction to the essential theory and numerical methods used in solving ordinary and partial differential equations (ODEs and PDEs)
- Topics include review of calculus techniques, methods of differentiation and integration, and applications to real-world problems
- Analysis and Linear Algebra (40 Credits) Core
- Introduction to both analysis and linear algebra
- Topics include sequences and series, functions and their continuity and differentiability, and linear transformations between vector spaces
- Probability and Statistics with Applications to Data Science and Machine Learning (20 Credits) Core
- Introduction to probability, data, and statistics
- Topics include set-theoretic approach to probability, combinatorics, conditional probability, independence, and Bayes' Theorem
