Year 1

• Key Skills in Translational Medicine (40 Credits) Core
  • Develop knowledge of audit, enterprise, research, and service development in the specialism.
  • Prepare a proposal for a research study or service improvement.
• Translational Medicine: Bench to Bedside (20 Credits) Core
  • Critically engage with the evidence base underpinning the subject.
  • Formulate research questions that drive knowledge translation in the field.
• Clinical Medicine (20 Credits) Core
  • Focus on the precision medicine approach, looking systematically at a patient journey.
• Diabetes: Respiratory Medicine (40 Credits) Core
  • Learn about various key aspects of respiratory medicine, including pathology, diagnosis, management, epidemiology, prevention, treatment, and control.
• Dissertation: Translational Medicine (60 Credits) Core
  • Consolidate learning and knowledge acquisition provided on the course.
  • Focus on a student-led project, with tutorial support.
