Agricultural Science graduates are in high demand from employers across all levels of study. You could gain employment with agrichemical companies, breeding companies, agribusinesses, consulting firms, community groups, government agencies or research organisations. UWA is an international leader in agricultural science and you'll learn alongside a globally connected network of academics and industry practitioners. We're ranked 17th in the world for Agricultural Sciences (ARWU 2020).
Course Accreditation
A UWA degree in Agricultural Science satisfies the professional requirements of the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology and graduates are eligible to apply for membership.
Standard Entry for High School Leavers
- Minimum ATAR: 80.001
- TISC Codes: UWART (Arts), UWBMD (Biomedical Science), UWCOM (Commerce), UWSCI (Science), UWBPH (Philosophy [Honours] Assured Pathway)
- Qualifications: BA + MAgSci, BBiomedSci + MAgSci, BCom + MAgSci, BSc + MAgSci, BPhil (Hons) + MAgSci
- Duration: Three-year bachelor’s degree plus a two-year master's degree
- Limited places: No
- Selection criteria: A relevant bachelor's degree, that aligns with one of the specialisations of this course, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA
- Undergraduate major: A bachelor's degree with a Science major relevant to the master's specialisation
Pathways for Mature-Age Students
If you will be aged 20 years or older on 1 March (for Semester 1 entry) or 1 August (for Semester 2 entry) you qualify for our mature-age-entry pathways.
