The Master of Architecture (Design) is a program of independent, supervised research leading to the presentation of an exhibition of architectural design equivalent in scope to the schematic design of a building of major cultural significance.

Admission Requirements

Qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor of Architecture with at least upper second class honours and sufficient architectural design experience to satisfy the School of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts and the Graduate Research School that the applicant has sufficient expertise to complete the course

Research Training Program

Australian citizens, permanent residents and New Zealand citizens are offered a Tuition Fee Offset Scholarship which offsets the requirement to pay a contribution toward the cost of their research courses if UWA provides them with a Research Training Program (RTP) place.


This Tuition Fee Offset Scholarship is applied for up a maximum of four years full-time equivalent study for the Doctor of Philosophy. The RTP is a performance-based funding scheme administered by the Australian Government Department of Education.
