GHG Accounting and Verification - ENRG 2102
Course Description
In this course, students will explore how organizations account for, track and verify their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions including all three scopes. They will critically examine the different standards available for GHG accounting, their history, and application. Real-world corporate and government net-zero commitments, greenwashing, and carbon offsets will be contextualized from an analytical, communications and political lenses to provide students with an understanding of how and why organizations account for GHG emissions.
