Introduction to Pharmacy Practice - PHRM 1000

Course Description

Explore the history of pharmacy practice. Discover the role and scope of practice of the pharmacy technician within the Canadian health-care system. Examine health promotion and primary health care in relation to medication use. Explore the use of critical thinking in pharmacy practice. Learn the fundamentals of pharmacy practice related to drug development and manufacturing, drug stability, drug formulations and uses, and safe medication practices. This course also introduces you to lifelong learning through reflective practice and has a mentorship component.
