Course Description
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of plant identification, including classification, identification, distribution, habitat, and ecology of common trees, shrubs, and herbaceous species found in Alberta. Major topics include the use of dichotomous keys, field identification, and indicator species. Student field exercises may take place off campus.
