Course Description

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of wildlife management, including identification, distribution, habitat, and ecology. It explores tools to minimize human/wildlife conflict and discusses deterrents. Students will learn non-lethal wildlife management, understand the various legislation regarding wildlife, and learn hands-on practical wildlife tracking methods. The focus will be on Alberta species. Student field exercises may take place off campus.
