The Professional Diploma in Leadership Skills is a part-time evening course that runs for 12 weeks, one evening per week from 6.30 pm - 9.30 pm. The course is validated by Griffith College and focuses on the development of professional skills, providing an interactive and in-depth exploration of the leadership role within an organisation.

- Trust-Based Leadership: What is Trust-Based Leadership? Psychological Safety and its importance to Leaders
- Building the Team: Define the 5 Stages of Team Development, Understand why these stages are Important, Recognise skills to help Leaders, lead their teams through the stages of Development
- Emotionally Intelligent Leadership: What is emotional intelligence? How does Emotional Intelligence support Leaders to be successful?
- Navigating Change: Understand the difference between change and transition management, Identify the three phases of making a transition through the Bridges Model
- Leading a Hybrid Team: How to lead Hybrid teams, Communicating effectively in a hybrid world, Establishing Team Norms
- Diversity and Inclusion: Describe the concepts of diversity and cultural competence, Demonstrate culturally-competent techniques for working with your team, How would we apply behavioural tools to foster a more cohesive workplace?
- Managing Conflict: What is conflict? Having Courageous Conversations, Encouraging conflict…. why?
- Coaching for Success: Define coaching, Recognise the coaching competencies that link effective coaching to development, Apply adaptive coaching and coaching for success models to develop skills, change behaviours and drive performance, Define when and how to use coaching conversations to improve work performance, relationships and results

How to Apply
Entry Requirements
- All applicants must be a user of Microsoft Office.
- Applicants under 23 years of age: Minimum 5 O6s/H7s in the Irish Leaving Certificate or equivalent award, Or FETAC Level 5 Full Award.
- Applicants over the age of 23 (Mature students): Direct entry - If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form.
