Overview

The Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma in Engineering (General Engineering) is designed to develop you as professional, self-reflecting individual who is able to meet the demands of employers in the rapidly evolving engineering sector.

Entry Requirements

UK Academic Requirements

  • Level 4 qualification in a related discipline (usually HNC in an engineering pathway)
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above

International Requirements

  • IELTS 6.0 overall (minimum of 5.5 in all components) where English is not the student's first language
  • Country-specific requirements (see below)

Transferring Credit

  • If you have previously studied at higher education level before you may be able to transfer credits to a related course at the University of Suffolk and reduce the period of study time necessary to achieve your degree

Mature Applicants

  • Students aged 21 or over at the start of their course are regarded as mature students
  • The University of Suffolk offers a flexible admissions policy for mature students, which takes into account life and work experience
