Program Overview

Animal Behaviour and Welfare (BSc top-up)

Overview

The one-year BSc (top-up) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare course is aimed at people who wish to upgrade a Level 5 qualification in animal-related studies, such as the FdSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, to a BSc (Hons) qualification. This course allows you to develop and expand on your scientific knowledge of animal behaviour and welfare, alongside practical application of this knowledge within animal-related industries. Within this course there are opportunities to develop your academic skills, through critical analysis and evaluation of contemporary research.

Graduates may progress into graduate roles within animal-related industries or may continue their studies by progressing onto Level 7 studies, such as Masters degree courses. Previous graduates have progressed into careers in behaviour and training, some have entered into work in zoos, animal rescue centres and veterinary practices.
