Fashion Trend Forecasting

Investigate and establish new season fashion trends

Course Content

In the Fashion Trend Forecasting course, students will acquire the skills to strategically plan products in alignment with prevailing trends. This encompasses considerations such as selecting fabric colors, defining silhouettes, and identifying target demographics. Through a comprehensive approach, students will master the art of trend analysis, leveraging sources like the internet, specialized magazines, books, and, when feasible, attendance at trade fairs. Proficiency in creating mood boards using Photoshop, along with crafting articulate written briefs, will be cultivated. This course empowers students to articulate and showcase their unique interpretations of themes and trends, fostering a holistic understanding of the dynamic fashion landscape.

Course Learning Outcomes

• Gain knowledge by researching & presenting fashion trends using Photoshop & Internet
• Gain ability to present portfolio in a professional way
• Learn how to make Mood boards and Trend Analysis.

Level and Materials

• Level: Beginners
• Material: Notebook - Laptop computer - USB Memory stick - Photoshop (30 day trial version okay)

• Fashion Short Term Course
  • Daytime 2 weeks - Full-Time - (48h) 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday)
  • Daytime 3 weeks - Full-Time - (72h) 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday)
