Introduction to the LLB (Hons) Law Program

The LLB (Hons) Law program at Arden University is designed for individuals who aspire to become lawyers or barristers. This undergraduate degree is equivalent to a BA or BSc and is the first step towards an exciting range of career possibilities in the legal sector or professions such as journalism, politics, policing, teaching, and more.

Course Overview

Arden's LLB (Hons) Law course covers the foundations of legal knowledge and has been updated to reflect recent changes to professional practice qualifications. Students have the opportunity to select from distinct degree pathways to help prepare them for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE 1) or the Bar, including an International Bar pathway for those looking to study modules with an international scope.

Study Options

This course is available to study through Arden's blended learning study mode at study centers in London, Birmingham, and Manchester, as well as online. The blended learning mode combines face-to-face classes with online learning, while the online mode provides flexibility for students to study from anywhere.

Entry Requirements

• Standard entry requirements:
  • Three subjects at GCE A level or equivalent, plus passes at grade C or above in four subjects at GCSE level or equivalent, including GCSE English.
  • Completion of a recognized Access Programme or equivalent.
• Non-standard entry requirements:
  • Arden considers applications on a case-by-case basis, including significant work experience or previous qualifications.
• English proficiency:
  • IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element) or TOEFL iBT 80, or equivalent.

Course Fees and Funding

The course fee breakdown is as follows:

• Fee per level: £5,500
• Total for the three-year program: £16,500 Funding options and scholarships are available for eligible students.
