Course Overview

The Applied Learning for Childhood Studies University Certificate in Professional Development is a 16-week online course that prepares students for entry to the BA (Hons) Childhood Studies (Top-up) (Online) course.

How You Learn

You participate in weekly units of learning through audio lectures, videos, and other online interactive tasks.

How You Are Assessed

You are assessed through a plan of an intended project you negotiate with your module tutor. This guides what you do to complete an essay about your chosen topic, which is then submitted as your end-point assessment.

Entry Requirements

Access onto the module is decided by reviewing your existing Level 5 credits and experience in working with children in professional environments.

Online Learning

Online learning allows you to get a university-level qualification from the comfort of your own home or workplace. You'll have access to all of the world-class teaching and support that Teesside University has to offer, but all of your lectures, tutorials, and assessments will take place online.
