Program Overview
Demystifying Maths & Statistics for Bioscientists
Overview
This course is designed for all bioscientists with familiarity of mathematics (at least A-level) and individuals working in research or industry (engineers, operators, process development scientists, managers) looking to increase their knowledge of maths and statistical methods.
Why should you study this course?
- Industry relevance: Benefit your learning experience on a course delivered in partnership with the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and Newcastle University.
- Enhance knowledge: Build on the foundations you gained at an undergraduate level and demonstrate the real-world applications of maths and statistics both in research and industry.
- Cutting-edge learning: Scientific and industrial context-based material allow you to appreciate data sources and the reasoning behind the specific mathematical and statistical approaches used.
- Practical implementation: Reinforce your knowledge and deepen your understanding of various methods and your industrial and/or scientific relevance through case studies and practical examples.
