English as a Second Language (Approval Not Required)

Overview

The English as a Second Language (Approval Not Required) program is designed to develop students' understanding of English language usage where English is used as their second language.


Admission Procedures

To be admitted to the College, applicants must qualify as either domestic students or international students. Applicants must meet all minimum admission requirements to be considered for admission to the College; the minimum admission requirement cannot be waived by the College or by the applicant under any circumstances.


  • Domestic Students: Applicants who are in possession of valid documentation confirming their legal status as Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or convention refugees.
  • International Students: Applicants who are not domestic students who meet the guideline established for international students studying in Canada by the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada – IRCC.
  • All applicants must be 15 years of age or older.
  • ESL Placement test scores range from 0-100, which helps students to put at different level. Based on Placement Test results, student can be placed among any of these levels in order to meet required expectations.
